I have no idea where to put this so if this is in the wrong place than by all means move it to where it's supposed to be or tell me and I'll move it.

But I'm new to the technique and I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm not sure how long the probe should be. I've looked around and can't find the answer, so if anyone can help, please do!
