hi everyone
I need some help, I was asked to design & describe an experiment that will show the mechanism of the olfactory system in the molecular level with the knowledge that was known 20 years ago .
I realy need some ideas so please any one that can help is welcome

So what was known on a molecular level 20 years ago?  Which part of the olfactory system do you want to look at?

I think they meen in the molecoler level that we look especily on the receptors machnisem
Im not sure that 20 years ago the know the recptores are G Protein coupled so i think i go in this way and need to design an experment that make sure they realy are
