Hello,
Has anyone successfully transfected either RS4-11 or MV-4-11 cells using siRNA with a efficiency of >85%?  Right now I am having problems with electroporation....most of my cells die.  I am following the protocols from Amaxa on these cell lines, but even they say that transfection efficiency is poor.

I would actually prefer to use some sort of cationic/lipid based transfection reagent.  Has anyone tried lipofectamine 2000 or Hiperfect or something similar in these cell lines?

Also, has anyone tried using a lentiviral shRNA for gene knockdown in these cell lines?

Thanks
Karen

check literature. you could also check with the technical support for any transfection reagent.
