Hi all.

I extracted DNA from the digesta of chicken using QIAamp DNA stool mini kit. Then, i quantify the 16S rRNA gene that present in the sample using real-time PCR. My problem now is to calculate back the amout of 16S rRNA gene that present in the sample.

I used 220mg of sample. Then, 1.4ml of buffer was added. After the centrifugation, 1.2 ml was used for subsequent extraction. After the removal of inhibitor, only 200 ul of the mixture was used. The DNA was finally eluted in 200 ul of buffer. Let say my real-time PCR result show that sample A contain 2e4 copies of 16S rRNA gene, how many copies of DNA will it be in /g of chicken digesta?

Thanks in advance.
