Hello to everybody,
  I'm writing to know if anybody know a good method to precipitate collagen from culture media.
I need to show that my treatment reduces the synthesis of collagen by my cells.
I'm using the sirius red to precipitate/stain collagen from culture media, but it seems that it precipitates the protein contained in the serum..

the only way that i can think of to specifically precipitate collagen would be to use an antibody to immunoprecipitate it.

i'll ask my friend if he knows of another way and get back to you.
