Hallo all,

I got a notification that I received a message from mirfirker, but when I logged in to check my message, I couldnt find the message nor mirfirker his profile?

How can a message vanish?
or is this some spam bot?

cheers
If you don't know it, then ask it! Better to ask and look foolish to some then not ask and stay stupid.

I got a message from mirfirker too. Its subject was "Open This" and body of the message consisted of a single link to a Russian website.

Well.... obviously spam or worse... so I sent the message into the bin

The spammer registered as a member and then send PM to every member using a bot. I have contacted the vendor of the forum program and was told they have no solution for this problem. An way around this problem is to set up an "Active members" group as we did previously. Only members who have made certain amount of posts can be promoted to this group and can use PM system and access the paper request forum.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.
