I ran out of the PCR clean up, spin through columns. Are the plasmid miniprep spin through columns the same thing? Are there any other protocols i can use that do not utilize the columns if they are not the same. Thanks
Drew

They are the same.

They are similar, often the membranes on them are specifically designed with molecular weight cut-offs (higher and lower MW), so be careful about using plasmid ones with small PCR fragments.

Hey
Like people have said, it can be used. However, if you don't want to use the columns, you can always precipitate the DNA; the yields are generally higher but it takes more time.
