To Scolix and GeorgeWolff,

Thanks!
I`m now trying to do what I can do with the paper. Honestly, the reviewers mentioned some good advices for my paper.
So, maybe submitting to the journal is not a bad idea after all, even though I got rejected <_<

Anyway, thanks to everyone!
Now I feel like I was such a baby fussing about my rejection <_<
A friend of mine said, "Hey Nikou, welcome to science world. Now you are officially a scientist "

...a 2 page-rejection letter for my manuscript right after I opened my PC
That was definitely no fun at all *sigh...*
Anyway, as people in Japan always say "Ganbatte!" to encourage others , which means "Fight!" or "Don`t give up!", I will use that word too for my self

May all of us blessed with good data and more importantly good (and many) publications :)

My morning started in a similar manner
;)

This is after waiting nearly 6months to hear back from them...

Sucky journal anyway- I shall submit somewhere else! <_<

Gambarimasu! and Gambatte nikou-san

Wait a min! Does this rejection has anything to do with Nihon-go? Scary  Beside the 'rejection', the other thing common between U 2 is the language. . <_< is there any association? ;)

Hello Nabi, what did you mean about the association?
I just assume LostintheLab are staying in Japan (or maybe is a Japanese? I don`t know ), so we just used the common phrase in Japanese :)

Hi Nikou-san, Ohio! I was simply exploring the association between the factor and event - not necessarily implying that the factor caused the result. For that we might need to do randomised studies.

There should be some relation between the chances of acceptance of a manuscript with the region/country the study belongs to.

This is way too scientific- I suppose you'd have to factor in the journals country of origin too. Maybe Monday was just the day for having papers rejected from Japan
As for me- I live here , but I"m not orginally from Japan and my poor Japanese is getting worse by the minute as is my brain- I need another national holiday <_<
I knew it! I knew it! Well, not in the sense of having the slightest idea, but I knew there was something I didn't know.

Haha!
I guess you`re right, two eyes aren`t enough for us, huh?
Actually, yesterday was a holiday in Japan, so I took a break, stayed at home, and practiced dancing the whole day. I thought nothing about the paper
But today, here I am facing the real life all over again. Come on brain, let`s do something! <_<

Only two, nope, multiples are always better and preferably along the tradition of Picasso or Miro (who cares for symmetry or balance)....so what kind of dancing are you practicing? The bon-odori or hip hop.....welcome to the real life... <_<

In fact, I started learning hip-hop since couple weeks ago. That dance really rocks! Although now I have back pain, leg pain, and other pain, learning it is really fun <_<
But don`t get me wrong, what I meant by learning is watching some videos on youtube, then try to follow.
I don`t even dare to look at my mirror because I know I dance differently from the real dancer <_<
So Cassandra and Nabi, it wasn`t bon-odori (wondering how you know that dance) or fura either

Was I good or wasn't I good? Hip hop was a stab in the dark  ..I guess I shld gift you with another daruma doll nikou-san....esp after you've broken or sprained something ;) and don't worry about the mirror- it's one of the reasons for its existence....you shld torture it more with the bon-odori..... :P...well, keep us updated...about the paper and the hip hop/bon-odori.....

You`re GOOD!! I was going to say that.
If it were me, I would probably think of...ballet....tango.....anything but hip-hop, or bon-odori
Yup, I will write here as soon as I get my paper accepted, OR masterized one dance.
These 2 things are equally important for me, although not significantly correlated (or is it correlated?)
Now i`m wondering which one of them I can get done first ;)

My morning has started with everything I ordered last couple of weeks arriving, well, at once. Not really at once, even, but in five minute intervals ;) If I waited a bit, I wouldn't have to run downstairs several times :P
In this case, it seems, being lazy would pay off better!

Look on the bright side - morning started with such a good morning exercise. If my lab were a few stories high, I would have probably lost some of my weight I have been putting from the lunch thread ;)

But BB, don't you do the usual morning 'radio exercise'..isn't this still a tradition or have you been hiding yourself while your colleagues are doing it? :P Eat your lunch but do the exercise.....btw, I don't see any new pics of your lunches....

I've only seen those exercises in films- Battle Royale infact!
maybe we're progressive here in Hokkaido- we don't even leave the lab when there is a fire alarm

LOLOL! The thought of my white coated colleagues and me standing in the snow doing our morning exercises would crack me up! I love the twee music that accompanies them.
