As it's written in title, it allows you to split or merge your pdf files.
So easy way to upload files in the forum, but also to remix a report or manuscripts

unless you are ready to join their forum and donate some money then you should download the "basic" program rather than the "enhanced".
i would also recommend the stable version unless you like to take chances (in which case you may want the "alpha" of version 2).
