I usually put glass coverslip in autoclave (closed in suitable bags) and after it, I open these bags under the hood in a sterile manner

I always dip them in methanol for 2-3 minutes then allow to air dry in a tissue culture hood for 20minutes before use. Works fine

I use 70% ethanol and flame it.
