How can I define the domains in my protein sequence. I blast search but i did not find as much infromation as I was expecting.

there are a number of search tools for domains grouped at ExPASy (http://www.expasy.ch/tools/) - Pattern and profile searches

Try ELM database search. It gives the domains and potential binding partners.
