Hi friends,

back again????? But is everything after 2005 lost????? All the lunches, geek quotes, wired products, lab jokes.....

:(

but at least back again......and I think we will still fill the recovered (or replaced) server with new lively discussions :)

i think so. It appears to be mostly gone. There seems to be dead links with thehttp://www.protocol-...iology-forums/ directory too.

I have only found dead links as well, but maybe they start working later the day.....seems to have been a big crash at biofoum!

@ bioforum: but we were still busy and having lively discussions here....

Hello,

I missed bioforum.
Now it is back again, but I had to register a new account.
Now Missele becomes little mouse.

I wish you all a happy new year, plenty of good results, and no computer crash !

WTF happened??? Hackers?
But that's horrid!
There was a whole manual of applied biology on that forum, or several manuals!

Thanks for the great idea - backing up now!

Although it is terribly sad that lots of info and discussions have been lost, I think the best part of this site has always been the members, so hopefully everyone will join back up!

I guess we can be glad that bioforum revived it and didn't gave it up. Must be really annoying to lose such a nice working platform and then to repair it bit by bit. Thanks bioforum :(
And hopefully it comes back to the old live and some of the data are recovered later. E.g. the quotes  ...
Have fun.

Are you also getting private messages inviting to OTHER sites? First bioforum dies, then that... Smells fishy to me. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but that could be coordinated.
Anyway I've seen another forum (for science fiction and fantasy geeks) survive hacker attack, they lost all messages but quickly came back and it's bigger than ever.
