Hey

I have a problem with low yield after DNA extraction from fish muscle tissue using Qiagen DNeasy tissue kit. I use half of the recommended
amount, due to the fish is tetraploid. Still I only get 1-2 ug of DNA (after RNase treatment) from each reaction. Eluation i done 2 x 200 ul TE-buffer.
Everything is done according to the qiagen protocoll.

Does anyone have an idea how to increase my yield?

hi
when i use trizol, i've noticed that increasing the volume used enhance rna/dna yield. So i think you first try by using at least the recommended volume. Maybe less concentrate (not that sure) but i guess more dna! :(
