Hi,
I'm working in RNA at the moment, and we don't have an RNA ladder... but we've been told that a DNA ladder works just as well, especially if its just to confirm the fidelity of the RNA. So, i ran the an formaldehyde and agarose gel, and the DNA ladder didn't show up.
i was wondering, WHY? is this because, i might have mixed up the loading buffer with the ladder (possible? yes).... or that DNA and agarose/formaldehyde gels don't get along?

Thanks,
vetticus

edit: apparently using loading dye instead of a ladder will produce no results. :) DNA ladder works just fine. Sorry for the hassle.
