The best temperature would be 4 degree Celcius.  Once you make a column like this you don't want it to be too long before you use it, within a week or two.  You can always reuse them as well, as long as you get a good elution and are not stripping the protein off.  As for what buffer, I would suggest either a tris or phosphate buffer with added Sodium Azide to inhibit bacterial growth.

Hello, I want to store GST fusion protein fixed on glutathion sepharose beads to use it later for pull-down assay. I don't want to eluate it from beads for storage. So I want to know which kind of buffer I can use to store GST fusion protein fixed on glutathion sepharose beads and at which temperature?
