Hi,
Does somebody knows if mycoplasms are killed by penn/strep in primary human cells culture? Also, I want to know what is the best way to see if I got mycoplasms into my culture?
Thanks a lot

héhé... mycoplasma aren't killed by peni strepto... that's such a shame. But first you have to diagnose if your cultures are contaminated. A pcr run will do the job. (just pick 100µL of supernatant of a culture dish/plate/well and aboil it 5', then PCR.
If you get contaminations, some companies sell mycoplasmas killing facilities, and your hoods are contaminated too...
But honneslty, if your cultures are contaminated, i would throw them away and start with fresh ones.
