Does anyone have any experience with protein expression in s2 cells. If so then could you suggest suitable plasmid vectors and transfection protocols.
Any help will be much appreciated, Thanks.

I suppose you mean S2 (Schneider -Drosophila).
We routinely use the DES vectors from Invitrogen, which contain many features to simplify cloning, detection, and purification - see the web page http://www.invitroge...cfm?pageid=9504.
For S2 or other mammalian cell transfection, most labs in our building have switched to GenCarrier-1 (from Epoch Biolabs) based on its outstanding performance - high efficiency, low toxicity, consistency and most important -much cheaper compared to other brands. Good luck.
