How can I thaw competent bacterial cells for transformation? Can i thaw the tube within my hand or would this damage my cells?

hi
it's better to thaw competent bacterias on ice then you strip it on a selective lb agar plate. Then pick one clone, and do the preculture, followed by culture :(

thawing the competent cells with hands will definitely harm them. its always better to thaw them by keeping them in ice.....
