How can I thaw competent bacterial cells for transformation? Can i thaw the tube within my hand or would this damage my cells?

hi
it's better to thaw competent bacterias on ice then you strip it on a selective lb agar plate. Then pick one clone, and do the preculture, followed by culture

thawing the competent cells with hands will definitely harm them. its always better to thaw them by keeping them in ice.....
