I guess the reason may be ethanol precipitate protein as well as RNA, 2BE will not.

I need a protocol for coupling a 300bp ds DNA fragment to an activated matrix so that I can purify a nuclear protein which binds to this DNA fragment.Will coupling to NHS activated sepharose work. If yes what protocol should I use?Thanks,Anuradha
