Hi, could anyone offer any suggestions. I am trying to express a kinase in S2 (schneider 2) cells from a metallothionein promoter. Despite several attempts and a good transfection efficiency (beta-gal assay) no expression??? I guess what i'm really asking is...does anyone have any experience with expression of heterologous proteins in S2's and could they suggest anything (i.e. protocols that worked for you, experiences with expression in S2's and stuff like that). Any help at all would be great.
