Adenosine methylation in eukaryotes

hi there,

hopefully you can help me with this as i can find very little published data on this.

what role does the methylation of the A base have in eukaryotic cells?  everything that iv heard seems to suggest that adenosine methylation might play a role in dna replication/transcription, and in the binding of the dna to the nuclear membrane, but no-one seems to be sure

would appreciate any imput
