Isolation of total RNA from animal tissues and cells

I would be deeply appreciated if anyone can advice me a protocol to isolate total RNA from animal tissues and cells using guanidine thiocyanate and silica. We now use our own home-brew silica-based DNA isolation system for all the DNA work..
