Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me. I am extracting RNA from whole brain and spleen to use in microarray analysis. I am using RNAbee protocol, followed by a cleanup with qiagen RNeasy kit and DNase digestion. Each step improves my 260/280 ratio, but I still can't get the ratio past 1.7.

Thank you in advance
sarah

3-5 phenol chloroform extractions might help it.

I think you should use RNeasy MINI or MICRO kit from QIAGEN directly. don't process your RNA with more unnecessary procedure, which will result in the low quality of your RNA sample. the A260/280 ration i got from both kit never fell below 2.0. good luck!
