I want to prepare a lysis buffer, which contains several proteinase inhibitor, among those is Aprotinin. I bought it from Fisher Company. Its total volume is 10ml. The instruction said the activity is 10,000KIU/ml, but I want to first make a working solution 1 mg/ml, so I don't know what is its concentration. I searched and found there is a conversion factor: 1 KIU/L= 0.83 ng/ml. Is it right? Please give me the easiest way to make this solution. Thanks!
