Hi
I am interested to find out if I can get crystal violet from any company in the UK as I need to extract my DNA from the gel but not after EtBr and UV exposure. Does any one know a company or know an alternative dye?

There's a kit from invitrogen. UV-free gel extraction kit. I tried it but wasn't very successful. It is very hard to see the dna band clearly in the gel but anyway maybe you like it. I would first check the manual online. There you can see if it is useful for you.
