Dear all,

i get fat fuzzy bands on a 8% non denaturating acrylamide gels. Most of those weird bands are located in the middle of the gel. Any idea

i get that too but with 8% acry/7M urea gels.
Mine usually form a pattern. i asked someone and they said the film developer needed to be serviced, but someone else said that had nothing to do with it.
is this on your actual gel or on film?

The gel may be getting too hot. You may not be getting full polymerization of the gel.
