I am using a 2 % Agarose / 1 M urea gel for separation and purification of two RNA fragments 600 and 900 ribonucleotideslong.

I am using a new type of agarose called agarosee resolutefrom American Bioanalyticals.  I get very inconsistent results sometimes the separation is very beautiful sometimes it  lookssmeary and the yield is very low.

I was wondering if anyone has used this method, andif they have a good consistent approach to preparing andrunning the gels.

Thanks!
