I'm writing to ask for opinions on cloning kits. I am trying to decide among kits from Invitrogen, Qiagen and a few other manufacturers. I would like to clone genomic DNA from Melanoplus grasshoppers in order to create a library that can be used to screen for SNP loci. I am targetting 1-2.5 Kb fragments of DNA. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I guess you want TA cloning, right? I would recommend Invitrogen.

I totally agree with the above, TA cloning from Invitrogen works!
