Hello, I want to disign primers for methylation analyse of PDS, a gene of aribidopsis. I don't know whether the program MethPrimer is suitable. The methylation of C in plants is in the sequences of CNGs, CGs and CNNs. Thanks for your time and consideration

MethPrimer and other similar primer design programs may not be well suited for plant DNA because only CpG methylation is considered in those programs. If you couldn't find a program, just pick your primers manually by following basic rules for primer design.

Thanks for your suggestion. Could you tell me the basic rules for primer design?
