Hi, guys:
I am trying to culture reuber H35 rat hepatoma cells, also known as H4-II-E cells. I got the cells from other lab with uncertainty of the passage.
Unlike other cells I have cultured, these cells were only good for 1 or 2 days after passage. Then cells became shrinked and died a lot. I know the medium recipe from ATCC, but I only have DMEM supplemented with 10% FBS. I also tried william's E media supplemented with 5% FBS, which gave a good result for my primary rat hepatocye culture. Cells still look weird. I even tried collagen coating, which didn't make any difference either. Would you please help me out on this one? Thanks a lot in advance.
