I have to denature a double strand RNA to be used in RT-PCR. I have read that the methilmercuric hydroxide can be used but I have not been able to find it. Have some of you experienced the same problem ? How have you resolved it ?

Methylmercury hydroxide can be obtained from Alfa Aesar.
Careful, that is just about the nastiest stuff I've ever worked with.

I try to obtein the methylmercury from Alfa Aesar but they told me that is not possible to send it in Italy
