Please, I need your experience in the following question: We like to use ?Midori green advance? in TAE running buffer during electrophoretic separation of DNA in an Agarose gel followed by Southern blotting. We only need half of the gel stained, the other part will be blotted, but it is also stained.
May a prior Midori green stain impair blotting performance of DNA?

If it doesn’t interfere with the electrophoretic separation then it shouldn’t interfere with blotting but it will possibly stain the membrane
