We aim to trace gamma tubulin in our established stable cell lines  using live cell imaging and time lapse imaging.

We were not sure how to do this.

Am'I right in assuming that one way is to label the monoclonal antibody of gamma tubulin with a fluorescent dye (e.g.CY5) followed by incubation in cells for imaging? The cell membranes would have to be performated with streptolysin O?

Also, is another option to fuse Cy5 with gamma tubulin and the vector can be transiently transfected into cells for tracing?

Thank you, any help would be appreciated.
