Does anyone know any tricks for locating and surgically destroying/removing the AV node of a mouse heart? I am doing Langendorf perfusion for force-frequency analysis and cannot reliably get the hearts to stop self-pacing. Is there anatomical region I can use as a marker?
Also, I am aware of where the AV tissue is SUPPOSED to be and do truly appreciate your effort, but please no heart diagrams from google images.
