HI there

v basic question - inherited some analysis spreadheets and want to double-check....

When analysing qpcr(tho applies similarly to other techniques)

we have 4 groups

1)healthy control

2 )diseased + control treatment

3) diseased + treatment A

4) diseased + treatment B

n=3 for each

all expression of genes relative to housekeeper

First analysis option: One way ANOVA of everything, fine.  (also, all assumptions met for this)

Second analysis: Everything normalised to the average value of group 1)....hence we now have values for 1) of....1, 0.9. 0,1 for example....then other values for treamtent groups

Do we do one way ANOVA accross all groups in the latter case? Or only across the treatment groups??

thanks

erb
