I apologize if this is not the correct area for this but I felt that people in tune with flow cytometry may be able to lend me a hand. I am trying to compile an exhaustive list of industrial applications of cell sorting technology.
So far I have come accross the following examples:
1. semen sexing (jet-in-air droplet sorters, microfluidic sorters)
2. cell enrichment for manufacturing of cell therapy (magnetic based enrichment/activation of T cells, enrichment of CD34+ cells for transplant)
3. single cell isolation for clone generation related to strain improvement, recombinant protein expression, antibody production
If you have come across other industrial applications (not R&D for which there are endless applications) I would love to hear about them!
