I am isolating some specific sub-populations from breast cancer cell lines. The biomarkers for which I already have. I would also like to investigate the cells which are not unstained by these biomarkers, I do not want to target differentiated cells as my target are stem cells. My question is, is it advisable to use Lineage specific markers (CD3, CD14, CD31, CD41, CD19, CD56) along with the specific markers or are Lineage specific Markers not needed? Because these Lineage markers are mostly for immune and blood cells and as far as i understand a mammary cell line like MCF-7 wont contain any.

CD19 is a B cell surface protein expressed throughout B cell development. It is expressed on nearly all B cell malignancies including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and many non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), while not expressed in hematopoietic stem cells.
