Greetings,

I'm currently putting together my packet to apply for couple of PhD programs. I'm mainly looking into MCB, neuroscience and/or Physiology.

I'm in the US, and have a Master's degree in Physiological Sciences.

I have retaken the GRE, my scores aren't mind blowing, however during my MS studies, I managed to show two findings that weren't known before, and possibly rewrite a science field.

I'm applying to 15 schools, I got told by my committee around 10-15 is a good number.

Any ideas or tips for students who got accepted or people that serve on committees?

Last year, I applied to 5 programs and got rejected from all 5. I was told that my letters of recommendations were very strong but my letter of interest didn't convey enough interest to follow the PhD path.
