Hi!

I'm working with the MAX Efficiency® DH5α™ Competent (cat num 18258012 from Life Technologies).  I bought 1 kit because originally that was what I needed, now more vectors are needed to clone and will end short from material.  This may sound a silly question, but I haven't work with cloning for about 15 years. If I propagate the bacteria on LB Broth I have to make them chemically competent again? Thanks in advance for any help!

Correct, you need to make them competent. The classic method can be found in Molecular Cloning, and you can find some alternative methods at http://www.openwetwa.../wiki/protocols
