Hi,
I just count my colonies resulting from the long and tedious process (!) of determining a growth curve for A. hydrophila.
I know the way I am working is good since I did it with an E.coli strain and it worked.
When I plot the log of viable cells vs the time, I got a plateau at log 8,7 (OD600 of 0,6 to 1,0), then it continues to go up until log 9,3 (or OD600 1,2). After that, it did not grow up at all.
Is it normal to have such a plateau in a growth curve, which does not seem to represent the stationnary phase....??? What could have cause such a curve?
Thank you very much all,
A
