Dear all,

I need to isolate genomic RNA from cervical swabs, I'm in doubt what should I use; RNA extraction kit or TRIZOL reagent, can you give me any advice or if you have protocols regarding this problem? I would really appreciate any kind of help!

Thank you

Tea

I hope that the swabs are in rnalater or -80C. I prefer the RNA extraction kit, my favorite is RNeasy from Qiagen.

Thank you merlav for your reply, currently I have Trizol reagent, hope it will work too for RNA isolation...
