Hi, I have a question but I can't find the answer. Why Glycomacropeptide (GMP) does not bind Coomassie Blue stain? Please help me. Thanks very much :)

i can't answer specifically for your protein, but...

 

are you using g250 or r250?

 

g250 is more specific than r250 so will bind to less (also makes it better for protein determination). r250 will bind to more because it is less specific.

 

there may be other reasons for the insensitivity.

 

have you tried other staining methods (eg silver stain)?

I'm not do an experiment. I read from an article*. But they didn't explain why it was. I tried to search on the internet, but no more information.
