I want to know if bacterial lac operon lies in the genomic dna or in the plasmid normally (in vivo).

 

in case of antibiotic resistance, is it possible for the bacteria (e coli) to acquire the resistance gene on the lac operon plasmid? Can anyone please give me some references?
