ribosomal binding site cloning

can i clone a gene with its native RBS into a vector which has got an RBS ite already? will that affect expression?

It won't affect expression, but will affect translation in that you may get a peptide that is toxic to the cell, or cause conflicts with ribosomes trying to bind the mRNA.
