I am working on an end point PCR assay using SYBR green to quantify gut bacteria (from fecal DNA). I am currently using dilutions  pure genomic DNA from ATCC as calibrator control for the assay. The patient DNA signals reproduce well but the calibrator DNA signals fluctuate. Not sure why this is and I need a reference signal to calculate the concentration of the bacteria in patient samples,Welp!!!!
