I am wondering if we could disassemble our protein of interest say an ATPase, which is a hexamer. Anybody has an idea how we can disassemble in vivo so that we can see the consequence. I am not interested in monitoring the disassembly, but the consequence. I could disassemble the hexamer in vitro. Any suggestions and references would be highly appreciated.
