Hi All
when doing isolation of genomic bacterial DNA using the phenol extraction method, is it possible to replace the phenol extractions by two phenol:chloroform (1:1) extractions, followed by 1 choloroform extraction? (when i tried this i got unpure dna, but do not know if this is the reason for the problem...)
thanks
leah

Hi:
I use fenol:Clor. For genomic extraction in yeast, but the protocol is similar to bacteria.
