I have prepared a recombinant protein in E. coli and it is extremely important for me to know whether the purified protein contains LPS in order to avoid false-positive interpretations.
I was wondering: is there any cheap in-house technique (or an affordable kit!) to test the presence of LPS in vitro?
I have to mention I cannot use "The Endpoint Chromogenic Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) Test" due to the inherent Coomassie Blue color of my recombinant protein.
With many thanks for your responses in advance.
