Hi Guys,

I m doing surface chemistry and currently I use BSA as passivating the background. I just noticed that BSA has a free thiol group at position of 34 its amino acid sequence. As I have maleimide groups on the surface, I was wondering if these thiol groups of BSA bind to the maleimides or not. I just want to know if anybody has any information about the reactivity and accessibility of the thiol group of BSA.
