I guess you mean using a suicide plasmid for mutagenesis?

 

Where did you read it?

thanks all for replying :)

 

i read it in one of the papers and this is the exact quote " using sucide mutagenesis to knock it out of the genome". i had the same idea that it might just mean sucide plasmid.
